University Marketing Communications functions as a full-service creative agency for institutional marketing, advertising, communications and publications. Our mission is to identify achievements and differentiating qualities of the University of West Florida, effectively communicate these qualities as a brand promise, and ensure a university experience that meets the expectations of those we serve.
Our publications team writes, designs and produces more than 500 publications annually. These publications reach university audiences that include prospective students and their parents, potential donors, alumni, faculty and staff and the regional and national community. Our communications team produces “UWF Connection,” “Argus Today ” and “Online Fountain,” as well as distributing and placing UWF news in local, regional and national media outlet. Last year, this resulted in more than six and a half million dollars in advertising equivalency and UWF reached a circulation of more than 220 million. And, our advertising team reached university key constituents at the local, regional and national level through the placement of billboards, display ads in newspapers, magazines, guides and outdoor ads, as well as electronic media such as radio, television and Web advertising.
University Marketing Communications staff has more than 100 combined years of experience in marketing and communications at the university. In addition, our award-winning work has been recognized locally, regionally and nationally by organizations such as the American Advertising Federation, Council for Support and Advancement of Education and the Florida Public Relations Association.
