College Level Academic Skills Test
The Learning Center does not administer the CLAST Exam. The Learning Center supplies supplemental test preparation materials and tutoring for the CLAST Exam. | CLAST Prep Packets | The Learning Center provides prep packets in all four of the CLAST test areas - Mathematics, English/Grammar, Reading, and Essay. Packets can be downloaded or printed from links below. Mathematics #1 English / Grammar - this link will take you to the Writing Lab website where students can access grammar handouts that can prepare you for the English portion of the CLAST. | Tutoring | The Learning Center provides tutoring for the CLAST Exam in Building 52 Room 151. Students may work problems from the Prep Packets and receive help from the Learning Center staff. Please check the Tutor Schedule for convienient times. |
| Workshops | The Learning Center offers CLAST Prep workshops throughout the year. Workshops can be attended face-to-face in Building 52 Room 161 or by webcast. |
| Practice Tests | CLAST Exam practice software is available on the computers in the Learning Center. The practice test are timed and offer excellent prep for the actual exam. The practice test will also point out the areas in need of improvement. |
| Additional Resources | CLAST Tutorials and Handouts can be found at testprepreview.com, a website that offers free test prep worksheets and practice exams for a number of exam including the CLAST, GRE, GMAT, LSAT and FTCE. Ibello is another website that provides online tutorials, practice tests, and videos for the CLAST. |
| FTCE Florida Teacher Certification Exam |
Students who are taking the FTCE can come to the Learning Center for tutoring for the General Knowledge areas. Tutors do not tutor specifically in the FTCE but we can offer tutoring in subject areas. Many of the CLAST Exam worksheets and webcasts are helpful for the FTCE. |
