Specially tailored to our military students, this certificate is designed for maximum flexibility using an ultra mobile personal computer. New Military personnel enrolled in this certificate are eligible to receive an Acer Aspire One mobile personal computer. Students utilizing the ultra mobile device can complete large portions of each course without access to the Internet but will require some Internet connectivity for instructor interaction and assignment submission.
This three-course, 12 semester hour certificate program incorporates the five C’s (Communication, Culture, Connections, Comparisons and Communities) set forth in Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century, 2006, which is endorsed by the National Capital Language Resource Center and the American Association of Teachers of Arabic.
