Certainly a key aspect for any online student's success is reliable and timely technical support. Information Technology Services (ITS) is the primary UWF computer services department. The ITS Help Desk provides technical support to UWF students (prospective, current, and alumni), faculty, and staff on a variety of university technology services.
The ITS Help Desk is your first-line point of contact for all information technology issues, and their friendly and knowledgeable staff is available on a daily from 8:00am to 10:00pm (Central Time) basis.
The Help Desk provides online support from the “IT Help” tab in Argus. New features provided online are:
- Knowledge Base Technology Search – Search for any technical topic by Key Word
- Help Desk Live Chat – Available 9:00am to 5:00 pm (Central Time) weekdays
- Walk-in customers are welcome on weekdays 8:00am – 5:00pm (Central Time) at Bldg 37
- Free Software Downloads
- Discounted Computer Purchase
The ITS Help Desk provides telephone and/or e-mail support in the following areas:
- Computer technical support through Remote Desktop Assistance – ITS technician can logon to your computer (with permission) to help with problems
- E-Learning (D2L) technical support
- ArgoNet account activation & reset
- ArgoNet services:
- Internet connectivity through the university network
- e-mail - Argomail, Outlook, and Outlook Express
- Web page hosting
- Electronic file transfer (FTP)
