You may visit a website that has documents, pictures, or programs for you to download. Figure 1, for example, shows a "Download Now" link for a File Transferring Program.

You have the option to open and view the download able file or save the downloadable file so that you will have it for future reference (see Figure 2). To open and view the file, simply click the "Open" button.

If you would prefer to save the file, click the "Save" button (see Figure 2). The same "Save As" box that you see in programs such as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint will appear. You may save internet files the same way that you save files in these programs. Choose the folder you would like the file to be placed in and click the "Save" button. (See Figure 3)
