[3] Projects:

 

General Submission Requirements for all projects: all the projects are individual work.  Please submit your projects,

(1) type the following address in the Internet Explorer, ftp.facstaff.uwf.edu/home/jwei/ism3011 

(2) login using your Argus account login name and password,

(3) view this FTP site in Windows Explorer, click Page, and then click Open FTP Site in Windows Explorer, and

(4) copy your files into this drop box. 

 

Please use the <Last Name> <First Name> <Project Number> as the file name or a folder name (such as web project).

e.g., SmithJohn_Project1.accdb for database project.

 

Requirements on Web Design Project

 

 1. Working with the software interface such as Dreamweaver, Microsoft Front Page, or other software.

            This project requires you to build a web-based e-business system using HTML.  It is also allowed to use any software such as Dreamweaver and Microsoft Front Page to design this web project.  However, the submission of this project requires pure/plain HTML codes.

 2. Site management including creating and saving web pages, and uploading a site to the server.

      You need to create a folder with a combination of your “first name + last name + Project Number” as the folder name. Make sure to save the main homepage as index.html.  Other details are listed in the General Submission Requirements above.

 3. Creating a basic web page with page layout (headings, etc.) font properties, images, image buttons, and hyperlinks, and creating a web site with multiple linked pages, frames, tables, including manipulating table cell properties.                  

            Specifically, for this assignment, web page should contain at least the following elements:

            a.         Headings – at least two sizes

            b.         Background color(s) or image

            c.         Numbered or Unnumbered List

            d.         Two Images

            e.         Links to at least three other internet web pages

            f.          Bold and Italic Text

            g.         Use of Paragraph and Break Commands

h.         Insert a table with at least four rows and two columns

           i.           Change properties of table cells

 4. Content requirements:

            Please make sure that your web design meets all requirements on “Information Specification” and “Test Your Design” in the case descriptions.

     

Tip 1:  You could also start using Microsoft Word, then using Dreamweaver to clean up codes.
