UWF's online courses are made available through eLearning, which is hosted by Desire2Learn, one of the leaders in the online learning field. eLearning is widely used by UWF instructors to hold fully online courses and to supplement traditional courses with online content.
eLearning contains a full suite of tools designed to enhance the learning experience for online students. Course content can be uploaded as documents or written in the eLearning HTML editor. Variety can be added to course content with discussion groups and blogs. Assessment is also integrated, with online quizzes and grades, and reporting capabilities for instructors. Instructors will find all the tools they need to efficiently manage an online course, such as an assignment dropbox, class email system, news posting, and rubrics.
At UWF, eLearning is coupled with the Elluminate online classroom to provide a truly well-rounded learning environment for our online students.
