Software Requests: eDesktop and ITS Computer Labs

ITS computer labs and eDesktop virtual lab software requests can only be submitted by UWF faculty and staff. Submit requests using the ITS Help Form Software Request for eDesktop and ITS Computer Labs. Submission of this form does not indicate automatic request approval but initiates the review process.

Please be aware that due to technical and licensing limitations, not all software applications are candidates for installation. Review the Requirements and Restrictions before submitting your request.

Requirements and Restrictions for Software Installation in eDesktop, Building 79 Lab, and CyberLounge

Technical Requirements and Restrictions

For Building 79 Lab and CyberLounge
Must be Windows XP compatible
Must run in a NON-administrator mode

For eDesktop Virtual Lab
Must be Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Server compatible
Must run in a NON-administrator mode

Licensing Requirements and Restrictions

For Building 79 Lab and CyberLounge
Should be licensed for 150 computers

For eDesktop Virtual Lab
Should be licensed for 150 users
Must be licensed for Windows 2003 R2 Terminal Server
Must license for 2 physical servers taking into account each server has 4 processors (total 8)
