Students’ academic work abroad will appear on their transcripts in the same format as work completed at UWF. While the student is participating in the Study Abroad Program, he/she is registered at the University of West Florida and remains a fully enrolled student. Once the study abroad program has been completed and students’ grades have been turned in, the ODIEP will have these results added to the UWF record. A student’s transcript will show the name of the host school as well as specific course credits and grades from abroad.
As part of their preparation for going abroad, all students are required to meet with their academic advisor to discuss the courses they plan to take while abroad to ensure that they will be counted as a part of the student’s academic program at UWF. Students, together with their advisor, are asked to complete the International Exchange Advising Agreement.
