Security Alerts
PHISHING:
The Email Alert list is a partial listing of SOME of the fraudulent emails received by University employees. Over 85% of the email received by UWF is identified as spam and blocked from ever being delivered. This high volume of mail makes it impractical for the University to alert the campus every time a phony email is received. UWF employees are encouraged to learn how to identify and react to phishing emails.
IT ALERTS:
The IT Alerts channel is located in Argus on the Welcome tab. Information related to critical notices and planned outage announcements for any information technology-related systems and services are posted in this channel. "IT Alerts" is managed by the ITS Help Desk.
SECURITY TIPS:
Each week an Information Security Tip can be found in the campus email, Argus Today, and in Argus on the Welcome tab under Personal Annoucements. An archived list of those tips can be found here.
