Social Security Numbers (SSN)

are considered highly sensitive information. UWF is committed to protecting this information. At UWF, SSN have been replaced with a UWF ID. The UWF ID should be used as the primary identifier for any person (faculty, staff, or student)) in all University business. SSN can only be used as identification when required by law or by another external requirement. This requirement must be reviewed and approved.
