About the Card
With the Nautilus Card, your student has access to all the necessities of campus life--without the need to carry cash, checks or credit cards. Since the Nautilus Card is a debit card your student can never spend more than is deposited in their account(s).
There are no monthly service fees or minimum balance requirements and any unspent funds are carried over from term to term and are refundable when the student leaves or graduates from UWF. Cash withdrawals are prohibited.
Nautilus Card Declining Balance Account (not the same as Meal Plans or Argo Bucks)
Purchases may be made with a Nautilus Card at many locations around campus. To use the card as a declining balance card, a student may deposit money into two accounts - a General and a Food Account.
Deposit money into the general declining balance account and the student may use the card to make purchases at any location on campus connected to the Nautilus Card system, such as the University Bookstore, Dining Services locations, Postal Services, Student Printing, Vending locations, laundry rooms, and more. Funds deposited into the food account may only be used at UWF Dining facilities. Most locations on campus that accept cash also accept the Nautilus Card.
With the Nautilus Card, your student has the option to utilize the card as a declining balance card.
Each time your student purchases a meal or a snack from a University Dining venue, the computerized registers will deduct the cost of the purchase from your student's personalized account and display the remaining balance. The account balance will be carried over from semester to semester. Upon request to the Nautilus Card office, any unspent balance will be refundable when the student leaves UWF or graduates.
You may add money to your student's account(s) at the Cashier's Office (in person), online, by mail, or at any of the Automatic Deposit Machines (ADMs) around campus.
