At ICL, we “coach and support new teachers to become new leaders.” We focus on

• People who want to be teachers
• Teachers who want to be school leaders
• Teachers who want to teach other teachers

ICL directly targets teachers who choose to enter the teaching profession or are in their first five years of teaching. ICL offers online programs, courses, just-in-time learning resources and tools, and online access to information. Our goal is to become the online place where new teachers go as they continue to learn and improve their day-to-day practices.

ICL will build a New Teacher Virtual Campus to create an interactive atmosphere where new teachers all over the world can connect to each other, learn from educational experts, and gain access to tools to harvest the wins of students and other teachers.  

At our virtual campus, we will judge our success by measuring our abilities to grow with the needs of the new teacher market, achieve high satisfaction with the quality of our virtual campus offerings, and achieve high satisfaction with our 24 hour online service response.

The New Teacher Virtual Campus will be operated by the Institute for Innovative Community Learning® (ICL) at the University of West Florida (UWF). UWF is SACS accredited and the Professional Education Unit at UWF is NCATE accredited.
