Homecoming is a week-long event at UWF where we put on various events, competitions, and activities for our Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and the residing Pensacola community; in addition to celebrating our soccer team.
Homecoming takes place on the main UWF campus in Pensacola Florida. Although, each event may be in a different location depending.
You can! The events are open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, UWF families, and even the Pensacola community.
Being in college is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Take advance of all of the opportunities that are right in front of you, go outside of your comfort zone, and challenge yourself to have new experiences and meet new people. Not to mention, Homecoming is simply a lot of fun and all of your friends will be going.

This event can be compared to Homecoming King and Queen. To begin, there is an application process that you must go through before competing. Once the screening / interview process is over there will be Homecoming events that you must attend in order to acquire points. These points will assist with determining the dedication that each candidate has towards winning the crown. The winners, one male and one female, will be crowned at the Homecoming soccer game.
We are strong believers in our Argonaut Pride and feel that our university should be represented as such.
For sure! Check out our schedule for the highlights.

We are strong supporters in all of our athletic programs and are currently working on establish a football team by 2017, but for now we celebrate the original “futbol”: soccer as our Homecoming sport. Though, each of our athletic teams is equally amazing.
Inspired by Greek mythology, the legend of Jason and the Argonauts entailed a long, perilous voyage with a goal to capture and bring home a golden fleece. This voyage symbolizes the journey of excellence embarked upon by each-and-every- one of our students; to capture and bring home their college education.
Some believe they represent the blue of the sky and green of the sea. The Gulf of Mexico is a green, emerald color in this region as a result of the sand, and how the sand below the water reflects the sunlight back through the water.
