"Validity and reliability of three questionnaires specific for the assessment of physical activity in the Elderly.
Schuler, P.B., Abadie, B.R., Richardson, M.T., & Emplaincort, P. Presented at the 1996 International Congress on Healthy Aging, Activity and Sports, iin Heidelberg, Germany.
My research interests are two-fold: a) I am interested in the physical activity in older adults and b) the association between physical activity and the immune response. Over the past three years, in collaboration with colleagues at the University of Alabama, we have developed a data base evaluating five questionnaires specifically designed to assess physical in older adults; the data of this study will soon be ready for statistical analysis. My plans for the near future are to study the effect of physical activity on immunosenescence, more specifically, I plan to investigate the effect of physical activity on specific antibody production in response to the 1997-98 influenza virus vaccine.
