The Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science department offers a number of Graduate Assistantships in many areas of study to include Exercise Science, Hospitality, Health Education, Athletic Training, and Physical Education. To be eligible for a Graduate Assistantship, students must be admitted to a degree program, enrolled full-time and making progress toward the degree.

  • Assist Instructors
  • Teach Classes
  • Instruct or Develop Life-Time Activity Courses
  • Work in the Fitness Center
  • Assist with Research
  • Teach labs
  • We are also looking for qualified graduate assistants to teach our Life-Time Activity courses. National certifcations (ACSM, ACE, WSI, Martial Arts, etc.) are recommended
The purpose of a graduate assistantship is to provide a professional development opportunity consistent with a student’s educational objectives and to provide financial support for a graduate student within the context of the department. Scholarships are available up to approximately $7,000.00.
