Health Leisure and Exercise Science Programs Exercise Science Master's Specialization Exercise Science specializes in the areas of human performance, fitness, cardiac rehabilitation, and wellness. The faculty members are engaged in studies dealing with both basic and applied aspects of human performance, aiming to advance the basic knowledge related to human performance as well as solve problems for the population. There are two possible degree plans within the Exercise Science specialization that include a research emphasis (thesis track) and an applied emphasis (internship track); students are encouraged to chose an area of emphasis within the first year of study.
