Athletic Training Education Program
Program Accreditation
In April, 2004, the undergraduate Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) received initial accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). This accreditation enables students that complete this program to be eligible to sit for the NATABOC certification examination. On July 1, 2006 the ATEP transitioned to the newly implemented accrediting body known as CAATE ( Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education). On August 7, 2009, UWF’s ATEP was granted reaccreditation for 10 years, the maximum period allowed by CAATE.
