Served on the Executive Board of the North American Society for Sport Management (NASSM) and on the Program Reviewers of the NASSM/NASPE Council of Sport Management Program Standards.

Developed the sport management undergraduate program with the responsibilities of (not limited to) the curricular construction, teaching required major courses, student recruitment, advising student majors in degree plans, internship supervision, and program publicity. Initiated a pre-admission counseling practice for interested students and parents to facilitate the growth of enrollment significantly. The enrollment increased from less than fifteen students in the first year to over sixty (the most possibly allowed program size) during my four years of tenure. Besides teaching both graduate and undergraduate majors courses, also conducted researches and published scholarly works, and served on a number of committees in the department, college, university, and other community-based sport organizations.

· Designed and developed the 1996 Paralympic Games Envoy Training Program with a team of three managers under the Director of Envoy Program. Prepared training materials for the program and was in charge of the final evaluation at the completion of this program. Assumed other related managerial duties during twelve months of the training.

· Managed and continuingly developed aquatic sports programs nationwide in terms of national teams, national and international tournaments participation, and farm system for talented athletes.
· Reviewed and revised policies and regulations governing the national swimming and water polo programs under the Director of Training and Competition. Reviewed and issued the certificates for the national officials in the correspondent sports
· Directed the 1983 and 1984 national water polo tournaments and championships. Assisted to manage the national swimming and water polo teams. Participated the 1984 Olympic Games as the team manager for the Chinese National Water Polo Team.
· Reviewing the national officials’ certifications in correspondent sports. Created and organized the annual award of the “Nationally Distinguished Athletes” in swimming, water polo, diving, and synchronized swimming, and the annual award of the “Nationally Distinguished Swimming Hometown and Distinguished Swimming Facility”.
