How do I forward my incoming calls to an off-campus number, local or long distance?
UWF employees forwarding their work station/office phones to off-campus locations should consider the following:
- Unanswered calls will not return to the employee's campus voice mailbox but will be treated in the same manner as any unanswered call to the off-campus number.
- Employees forwarding a campus phone to an off-campus number should consider modifying the answering machine or answering service to reflect their status as UWF employees, thus eliminating any potential confusion for the caller.
- Departments will need to provide calling cards if employees, working at home, need to make long distance calls or submit charges for reimbursement.
- Ancillary UWF locations such as the Historic District, Sacred Heart, UWF SBDC, etc. all have AT&T Centrex lines. Currently, these Centrex lines do not have forwarding capability; however, this feature may be added by submitting a Communication Services Authorization (CSA) to Tallahassee. There would be a State mandated non-recurring fee for each line which requests forwarding capability.
