How do I access my voicemail when I am away from my phone?
To access your voicemail from a remote location, dial (850) 473-7171 from off-campus, or 7171 from other campus locations. When prompted, dial your extension number followed by #. When prompted, dial your password followed by #.

How do I forward my incoming calls to an off-campus number, local or long distance?

• Get the dial tone by either lifting the handset or pressing the SPKR (speaker) button or Line button.
• Press FWD or dial #91.
• Dial 9, then the seven digit off-campus phone number to which your extension is to be forwarded.
  • To forward your phone to a long distance number, dial 8, the ten digit number, and your long distance pin number.
• Press the Line or SPKR button again, or hang up the receiver to activate the forwarding instructions.
• The FWD button will begin to flash (only on Siemens digital telephone sets).
• To cancel forwarding, press FWD or get the dial tone and dial ##91.

UWF employees forwarding their work station/office phones to off-campus locations should consider the following:

• Unanswered calls will not return to the employee's campus voice mailbox but will be treated in the same manner as any unanswered call to the off-campus number.
• Employees forwarding a campus phone to an off-campus number should consider modifying the answering machine or answering service to reflect their status as UWF employees, thus eliminating any potential confusion for the caller.
• Departments will need to provide calling cards if employees, working at home, need to make long distance calls or submit charges for reimbursement.
• Ancillary UWF locations such as the Historic District, Sacred Heart, UWF SBDC, etc. all have AT&T Centrex lines. Currently, these Centrex lines do not have forwarding capability; however, this feature may be added by submitting a Communication Services Authorization (CSA) to Tallahassee. There would be a State mandated non-recurring fee for each line which requests forwarding capability.

How do I forward my incoming calls directly to my voice mailbox?

• Dial 7170 and hang up. The Forward button will begin to flash (on Siemens digital sets).
• To cancel forwarding, press the FWD button or get a dial tone and dial ##91.

How do I forward a voicemail message?
After listening to the message, press 6 to delete or 4 to save. When prompted, press 9 to forward and follow the prompts.

How do I change the ringer volume on my phone?

Display Phones: To change the audio settings on your phone, use the arrow buttons to access the Main Menu. Scroll (arrow buttons) and select Audio Settings by pressing the check mark button. When you reach "Phone Settings: 1-Ring volume?", press the check mark button. Use the "+" and "-" keys to adjust the volume. Press the check mark button when the desired volume is attained.

Non-Display Phones: Press the "+" or "-" button. Press 1 for ring volume. Use "+" and "-" keys to adjust volume. Press the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time when desired volume is attained.

How do I get rid of blinking lights on my phone??
Press FWD (Forward) button, or get a dial tone and dial ##91. If the phantom/second line is blinking, press the phantom line button, get a dial tone, and dial ##91.

How do I submit a telephone service request or request a conference phone?

• Search for IT Request Forms in MyUWF.
• In the Help Request Forms list, click "Telecommunications/Telephones".
• Complete the request information. For a conference phone request include date, time, and location.
• Click Submit.
