Telephone Service: Long Distance Authorization Codes

Personal Authorization Calling Codes which allow employees to make long distance calls from UWF are available to Faculty and Staff. Without a code, you will not be able to place long distance calls from the university. Should you need a new code or need to get your code again, you may come to the Telecommunications Office, Bldg 79/Room 101, or email telecommunications@uwf.edu to request your code. Codes cannot be issued over the telephone.

HOW TO USE YOUR CODE

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LONG DISTANCE:

• Dial "8"
• Enter "1", area code and number 
• Listen for beeps
• Enter your Calling Code

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL CALLS:

• Dial "9" then "011"
• Enter country code and number 
• Listen for beeps
• Enter your Calling Code

Off-campus, the University assigned BellSouth calling card should be used to make international calls or to make calls while traveling on University business.
