What we support
Microsoft has recently made a remote desktop client (RDP) available on iOS. Please follow the instructions below to set up a remote connection in the client for iOS:
**DISCLAIMER: Please note that remote desktop will only work on a stable, fast internet connection. Use of 4G (LTE) or WiFi is strongly recommended when using this app.
Download the Microsoft Remote Desktop app for iOS
Open the RD Client on your phone.
Once the app is open, select "New Remote Desktop" on the menu provided.
Select "Connection Name." Give the connection a name that you will recognize when using this app (in this example, we used "Work" as the name). Select "Save."
Select "PC Name." Enter your PC name in the field provided (name will always end with ".argo.uwf.edu" as shown in the picture below). Select "Save."
Select "Username." Enter your Argonet username in the "User name" field. Enter your Argonet password in the password field. Select "Save."
Select "Gateway." Select "Add Gateway"
Select "Gateway name." Give the the RDP gateway a name you will recognize (we have used "RDP UWF" in this example). Select "Save."
Select "Username." Enter "ARGONET\" followed by your username in the username field. Enter your password in the password field. (we have used "ARGONET\username" in this example).
Once you have verified your settings, select "Save" in the top-right corner.
You have configured your remote connection. Review all details of the connection before clicking "Save."
You will now see the connection name in the list of computers to connect to. Select this connection when you would like to remotely connect to your computer from your phone or tablet.
The client is also available for Android.
