Elluminate: Instructors/Moderators Preparing for First Session
Elluminate Support Home
As the instructor or moderator for an Elluminate session, you are responsible for scheduling the session, preparing content, and leading discussion. These resources will show you how.
- Get to know Elluminate
Begin by reviewing the Elluminate overview materials. Then, learn more about the specific features you plan to use during your session.
- Prepare your computer
Make sure your speakers (or headphones) and microphone are properly installed, then prepare your computer to make sure you have the right software, to configure your audio, and to set your connection speed.
- Schedule a session
Use the Elluminate administrative interface to schedule a session.
- Load Content into Elluminate
Before your session, load all necessary content into Elluminate. Elluminate provides several methods to load content.
- Prepare Your Participants
Send all participants a link to your session along with a link to the participant orientation and computer setup instructions (http://uwf.edu/helpdesk/support/elluminate/participant.cfm).
Keep in mind that all students must have computer speakers or headphones to use Elluminate. Microphones also recommended. Webcams are optional.
