Web Contacts are authorized to request ArgoNet account resources on behalf of the departments they represent. Requests for a new departmental ArgoNet account can be made from IT Request Forms in MyUWF. Select ArgoNet Account Request, then Request form for Department or Organization account.
Departmental accounts are preferred in the management of the department's university related business. ArgoNet accounts should be reviewed yearly by their respective web contacts to ensure the resources are still needed and authorized employee access is accurately reflected.
If you have authorized access to a departmental ArgoNet account, you are either a Responsible Party or a Content Provider. File Storage in MyUWF lists all ArgoNet accounts to which you are a Responsible Party or Content Provider.
Responsible Parties are University employees who have privileges to maintain security on ArgoNet departmental and organizational accounts. Responsible parties can:
Content Providers are students, faculty, or staff with whom the Responsible Party has shared an ArgoNet Account. Content providers can access the home and web folders for the ArgoNet account. If you believe that you need access to a departmental ArgoNet account, contact a Responsible Party for that account so that they can add you as a Content Provider. If you need assistance identifying a Responsible Party for an ArgoNet account, review the list of Department and Organizational ArgoNet Accounts or contact the ITS Help Desk at 474-2075 or helpdesk@uwf.edu.
The Responsible Party is charged with account security for maintaining authorized employee access regularly. Add or remove an employee to an ArgoNet department account using the steps below:
