Connecting to ArgoAir requires a 128 bit WEP (encryption) wireless card. Macs are only supported using an Apple AirPort card (do not use “AirPort Compatible” cards). When installing the card, only install the drivers; do not install any additional software provided on the CD.
Set Up Instructions
University Guests: A username and password are required to use ArgoAir. Your UWF host can obtain a guest ArgoAir account from the ITS Help Desk or a Local Support Provider. Guest access will be limited to HTTP/S outbound only. This means that guests will not be able to access UWF sites including http://www.uwf.edu and Argus.
Please note that individual (H: and I:) and departmental ArgoNet drives can only be accessed via FTP.
* Internet Explorer defaults to Passive FTP, which does not work with ArgoAir. Follow these steps to turn on Active FTP: From the Tools menu, select Internet Options. Select the Advanced tab, then uncheck "Use Passive FTP." Click OK, Apply, then restart Internet Explorer.
There are no printing services available directly from ArgoAir; however, you can use eDesktop while connected to ArgoAir to print to ArgoNet printers in Pensacola and Fort Walton Beach.
Important information for those who share a wireless device!
When you connect to ArgoAir, the 802.1x client stores your name with the ID of the computer (or other wireless device) that you are using. This means that if someone else uses the computer, ArgoAir will not recognize the new user and will continue to think that you are logged into the wireless network. Clearing your wireless credentials disassociates your name from the computer ID.

Windows XP
Click the button below to clear your wireless credentials from the device that you are using now. When the dialog box appears, click "Open" then "Run" to clear your credentials. A dialog box informs you that your wireless credentials will be removed; click "OK". Alternatively, you can "Save" the program to your computer; this will allow you to easily access the program if you need to clear your credentials frequently.
