The University of West Florida's Policy on Harassment and Discrimination reads as follows:

Discrimination or harassment by any member of the University conmmunity against any other member of the University community on the basis of the individual's age, color, disability, gender, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status is prohibited.


Our aim is to include gender identity in the policy. The definition of gender identity is as follows: "Gender identity is a person's sense of identification with either the male or female sex, as manifested in appearance, behavior, and other aspects of a person's life."
