To report any instances of hazing on campus please contact UWF's Police. Any UWF student wishing to speak privately and in confidence about a hazing incident can contact UWF's Police at (850) 474-2415, calls are answered 24 hours a day. You can also fill out a Silent Witness Form or an Incident Report Form through the UWF Police website.

Members of the Inter-Greek Programming Board will be in the Commons throughout the week with free information and giveaways about National Hazing Prevention Week.

Monday, September 24th – Hazing and Hollywood
5pm in the Commons Auditorium
Join us for an interactive discussion on the way media treats hazing and bystander behavior. Ben Stubbs will discuss the way media portrays hazing versus the real-life consequences of hazing. Open to all students!
Wednesday, September 26th – Officer Development Workshop: Valuing Your Members
4pm in the Commons Auditorium
This workshop hosted by Greek Affairs and Student Orgs will discuss with students their experiences in joining a new organization, and the importance of constructive new member activities to build character and instill values. Students will have a chance to discuss why they joined their chapters/organizations, their roles and feelings as new members, and potential challenges in building team or chapter spirit.
Thursday, September 27th – Bonding without Bandages:
New Member Activity Contest
6pm in the Commons Auditorium
Join Greek Affairs as groups engage students in a fun new member team-building activity which does not include hazing or alcohol, helps to instill their organization’s values, and bring their new members closer together. The finalists will have a chance to present their activities on September 27th.
Criteria for the activities will include Team Spirit, Teaching Values, Helping Organization to Understand Purpose, Effective Learning Outcomes, and Originality.
The deadline to send in the proposal is September 21st at 5pm via email (greekaff@uwf.edu), or dropped off in the UCSA Office (building 22).Click here for the contest form.
Non-Greek organizations are also encouraged to participate in this event. The proposals will be judged by members of the Inter-Greek Programming Board and the finalists will be announced on Monday, September 24th.
