UWF values research because it enriches the learning environment of our students, provides solutions to problems in our region, and contributes to the wellbeing of our community. Our researchers are committed to finding better ways to solve real problems. In fact, that is what is unique about UWF research - its applied focus and regional impact.

The UWF Research & Sponsored Programs help UWF researchers find funding opportunities, prepare grant proposals, and manage grant budgets and related audits. We oversee research compliance including the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Human Research Participants Protection, Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and policies related to research misconduct and conflict of interest. Grants

Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs offers the Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grant. This is a competitive grant for creative and scholarly projects by graduate students in good standing at UWF. The purpose of the Graduate Student Research Awards is for funding to support research required for degree completion, independent projects or for travel for presentation at a conference.

Fall 2012 Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Grant

The Scholarly and Creative Activities Committee (SCAC) is pleased to announce the Fall 2012 semester recipients for the Graduate Student Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants. Grants of up to $1,000 may be given. View the complete list of recipients for Fall 2012.
