Mission

It is the mission of the Governmental Relations Office to manage communications with governmental stakeholders at the local, state and federal level including agencies and elected officials.

The director works with administrators, faculty, staff and students to identify issues for legislative action and works directly with legislators to effectuate outcomes beneficial to the university.

David Mann

Meet the Director

David Mann, director of Governmental Affairs, joined UWF in October 2005. He is responsible for leading UWF's efforts in governmental relations and lobbying. Mann reports to the Office of the President and serves as a member of the UWF Presidential Cabinet.

Prior to joining UWF, Mann worked as director of governmental relations for Florida Gulf Coast University and Florida Atlantic University. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
