ESRI Training

UWF has access to ESRI virtual-campus software training courses. These courses typically cost $40 -$150. UWF faculty, staff and students have access to many of these courses at little or no cost. These courses require access to the World Wide Web. They often require GIS software. This software is available at the GeoData Center laboratory.

UWF faculty, staff and students can enroll in the GIS certificate program. This program focuses on GIS theory but does contain extensive use of current GIS technologies. UWF offers in-house GIS training for group of 5 of more. Courses can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group.

Many books are available that include ESRI exercises. "Getting to Know ArcGIS Desktop" contains a trail version of the software and tutorial exercises and data. This book is available from most booksellers. ISBN 1879102897
