Called to order at 6:03 pm

 

Robert Kelley:

  • Bylaws - Proposed changes:
    •  Members inactive for more than one consecutive semester will be dropped from the membership list and may be reinstated by petitioning the executive committee.
    • Eliminate FWB Service Vice President, P’cola Service Vice President, and FWB Secretary of Correspondence.  Secretary of Service for FWB and P’cola will take on the responsibilities of Service Vice President.  FWB will inform P’cola Secretary of Correspondence of any information that needs to be distributed to members.
    • Change voting procedures to require 50% of active membership to win a vote.  Include proxy voting.
  • T-shirts
    • Teresa will be responsible for ordering t-shirts.
    • Front: GBP letters and “University of West Florida” over right pocket.
    • Back: “Service, Scholarship, Character”  “Gamma Beta Phi” underneath.
  • Possible GBP sponsored events for Spring semester
    • Beach cleanups: Meet on a Saturday before from 10am to 2pm at Subway
    • Loaves and fishes: Serving food to the Homeless
    • Relay for Life
  • Invitations:  Emailed national chapter awaiting answer
  • Inductions:  Sunday, April 10th at 2:30pm

 

Teresa:

  • Possible GBP sponsored event:  Red Cross
    • Taking cash donations for Tsunami relief
    • May volunteer time by:
      1. Making phone calls to raise funds
      2. Disaster recovery
      3. Speaking at NAS, P’cola about the Red Cross

 

Camden:

  • GBP sponsored event:  Relay for Life
    • Need email addresses
    • Decorate
    • Sell Bracelets at lunch time

 

Ellen:

  • Dues due Feb 17th
