Title:Microsoft IT Academy Information Session

Schedule: Every Thursday 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Notes: In an effort to meet the growing demand for quality professionals in the information technology (IT) industry, the University of West Florida's IT Academy will provide several Microsoft certification opportunities for residents of Northwest Florida. Certifications include Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Systems Administrator (MCSA), and Systems Engineer (MCSE). The Fort Walton Beach IT Academy semester begins May 22, 2006. Courses last for 16-weeks and are delivered at night, on weekends, and online. Tuition assistance for military personnel and financial aid are available. The courses are designed to help new and current IT professionals become competent in Microsoft network operating systems and acquire a well-recognized and much sought-after Microsoft certification. One semester of full-time academic credit will be awarded. Earning a Microsoft certification verifies a professional's expertise in working with Microsoft products and technologies. A certification shows that the individual is a technical leader with the ability to implement Microsoft business solutions for an organization or client. A Program Manager will be available to answer questions about types of jobs in the IT industry are available in our area and guage student aptitude and interest as related to the Microsoft IT Academy at the Racetrack Road facility.
