Release and Hold Harmless Agreement

I, _____________________________, an individual, business or organization wishing to participate in the University of West Florida Festival on the Green, do hereby acknowledge that I am in complete understanding that I am not acting in any capacity as an employee of the University or hired by the University to participate in this activity. Accordingly, I agree to be solely responsible for any damages or injuries sustained to myself or others involved in or associated with my participation in this activity at the University of West Florida. Further, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the University of West Florida against any and all claims by or against me, arising out of my participation in this activity. It is my expressed intent that this Agreement shall bind members of my family and spouse if applicable, if I am alive, and my estate, family, heirs, personal representatives, or assigns, if I am deceased, and shall be deemed as a release, waiver, discharge and covenant not to sue UWF. I further agree to save and hold harmless, indemnify, and defend UWF from any claim by me or by my family, arising out of my participation in this Festival on the Green.

In signing this Release, I acknowledge and represent that I have fully informed myself of the content of this Agreement by reading it before I sign it, and understand that I sign this document as my own free act and deed. I further agree that this Release shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

I HAVE READ THE ABOVE RELEASE BEFORE AFFIXING MY SIGNATURE BELOW, AND WARRANT THAT I FULLY UNDERSTAND THE CONTENTS THEREOF.
