| The Admiral John H. Fetterman State of Florida Maritime Museum will be part of the Community Maritime Park in downtown Pensacola. The project will be designed, constructed, owned, and operated by the University of West Florida. | |||
This Museum will have a broad array of hands-on, interactive exhibits, a 125,000 gallon aquarium, gift shop, restaurant, and interactive theater. This project will serve as a signature educational and research facility for the State of Florida. Conceptual design is included to provide the Architectural Design Guidelines team with a basis for the ground square foot requirement, exterior design on the wharf side, exterior design on the retail/park side, and infrastructure requirements. The design concept includes the following:
