Description:

• 2-week/ ½ day program for 7th-12th graders
• Learn key components of Macromedia Flash 8
• Create two games
• Learn basic elements of game programming
  o   Multimedia
  o   Graphic objects
  o   Interaction between player and computer
  o   Collision detection
  o   Score keeping

What you will gain?

Experience working with a lead faculty member Dr. Lakshmi Prayaga on game programming designing games that you can play and share with your friends. You will have an enjoyable time and would not want to leave the classroom!

2009 Gaming Project:

• Students will design fun filled games from concept to completion.
• Work individually or in pairs to develop your own games
• Produced games will be published on the web
• Themes for the games will be based on individual student's interests.
