Students get plugged into energy--its sources (renewable and nonrenewable), how it is generated, and how energy and electricity affect our world. Hear from guest speakers and get a glimpse into the many career options in the energy industry.
This experience will expose your children to all aspects of the "science of energy" including traditional and renewable sources, as well as skills needed to be a part of providing energy for our future. Students will partake in science-based lessons that give an inside look at the electricity industry. Daily lessons will also provide materials to apply at home that demonstrate energy efficiency and provide a higher level understanding of the future of electricity generation. Not only will your children learn about energy use at home and school, but they will learn how to be efficient and conserve energy for our world’s future.
Parents and family members are invited to attend a student-created energy carnival and expo. More information on time and location will be available at your check-in table.
For an additional $35.00 ($7.00 a day), you can join us in "Afternoon Adventure" after your full day summer program's activities are over at 3:30 P.M. Afternoon Adventure is an extended option where participants are actively engaged until 5:30 P.M. This is great for parents who are unable to get away from the office for regular pick-up time. Register for Afternoon Adventures here.
