Are you ready to learn how to develop, design and draft your ideas?

Program Overview:

• 1-week camp for 7th-12th grade students
• NEW Curriculum from summer 2010
• Instructed by local architects (see listing below)
• Learn about plan design, different tools (i.e. tools used to hand draw plans, and lettering techniques using portable drafting boards) and drafting techniques.
• Engage in daily lessons and activities focusing on math (i.e. spatial design, measurements, factorials)
• Create a "portfolio" of accomplishments
• Learn about green design
• Discover architecture as a career choice
• Learn and investigate the basics of architecture styles

What will you gain?

The experience will provide students with the accomplishment of learning from real local architects.  You will learn about actual techniques used for board design and about careers in this related industry. At the end of the week, each student will have a “portfolio” of accomplishments.
