Nature Detectives
The campers will explore the woods and the nature trail on the main campus of UWF. We will look at plant life, animal life, and soil compositon among other topics. *Students must bring a water bottle and closed-toed shoes.
The camper will:
- Exploraton of plant life to develop understanding of diferent types of plants.
- Investigate animals both visible and invisible( only through a magnifying glass).
- Learn about how the soil around us is a large factor as to which animals and plants live there.
- Deevelop a chart and graph the data collected.
- Create a digital image of the area that will showcase the geographic areas in which these plants and animals live.
- Keep a daily journal that they will take with them to take down notes and record research.

Learning Outcomes »
Students will be able to develop an understanding about the plant and animal life that we find. They will also use Math and Writng to showcase their findings and results.
The family showcase will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm - more details regarding the family showcase event will be sent home the week of the camp.
