Our staff is full of energy and driven to provide motivating curriculum choices to you and your child. All year long, our staff works diligently to provide Explore Summer Camp programs. Our staff is full of outstanding instructors including UWF professors, Center directors, teachers from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, graduate students and community professionals.

Meet our Explore Summer Program's Team:
Jennifer Rohman, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Director, Explore Summer Programs and iExplore Online Programs
Jennifer Rohman has directed Explore Summer Programs since 2006. Her background stems from the K12 classroom. With a B.A. in Communications, B.A in Elementary Education and M.A. in Special Education, she has years of experience with elementary, secondary, special education management. She is involved with the Emerald Coast BEST Robotics Hub's steering committee and is also a part of the University of West Florida's Society of Women Engineers. Her role in K12 education prides her dedication to UWF’s Explore Programs ensuring implementation and design of all programs, creation of curriculum, delivery of instruction, managing all staff members and instructors, and providing an overall structure for each programs. Currently, she is finishing the course work for the Behavior Analysis Board Certification.
Ryan Graber, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Explore Summer Program Assistant Director
Ryan Graber joined the Explore Program staff in 2008. Ryan is currently an ESE educator at Brentwood Elementary School. Ryan holds a B.A. in elementary education from the University of West Florida. In his off time he enjoys relaxing at home with his wife and his dog, and enjoying a good novel.
Jacklyn Alford, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Marketing Coordinator, Division of Continuing Education
Jacklyn Alford joined the Division of Continuing Education August 2006. As the marketing coordinator for the entire division, she also oversees marketing for Explore Programs (Explore Summer Programs and iExplore Online Programs). With a B.A. in Art History from the University of West Florida, she is very talented with graphic art. She has also spent the last three years coordinating and instructing elementary art programs for Explore Summer Programs.
Sarah Banner, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Program Support Specialist, Continuing Education, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus
Sarah Banner joined the Division of Continuing Education in April, 2002 as senior training specialist where she assisted with the planning, organizing and delivery of programs offered in Continuing Education. She is now responsible for assisting learners with information regarding program offerings and registration for Continuing Education programs, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus. She has chaired and served on numerous UWF committees. She received the University Support Personnel Award for Employee of the Year in 2000 and the Gabor Award for Excellence in 2002. She is a graduate of the UWF Leadership Enhancement and Development Program “Class of 2003” and the West Florida Leadership Academy “Class of 2004”. Sarah enjoys spending time with family, reading, basketball, softball and working in her flowerbeds.
Brenda Carey, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Customer Relation Specialist, Continuing Education, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus
Brenda Carey joined the University of West Florida 25 years ago. She joined the Continuing Education in March, 2009 as Office Support Specialist. She is now responsible for assisting learners with information regarding Continuing Education programs, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus. During her 25 years of employment, she has been active within the University. She served as an usher for commencements. Brenda also served on several UWF job search committees. When she is not at work, she enjoys collecting and buying jewelry, playing cards, spending time with family, watching old movies and working with the youth and the elderly at her church.

Genene Poppell, Division of Continuing Education, University of West Florida
Program Title: Program Support Specialist, Continuing Education, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus
Genene Poppell joined the Division of Continuing Education in December, 2009 as program specialist where she assisted with the planning, organizing and delivery of programs offered through the Division of Continuing Education. She is now responsible for assisting learners with information regarding program offerings and registration for Continuing Education programs, Explore Summer Programs and Online Campus. Genene enjoys riding with her husband on their Gold Wing and being in Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA). She also enjoys the outdoors: camping, fishing, going to the beach, snorkeling for shells. When she isn't doing all the above, she will be with her grandchildren.
