"My Executive Mentor, Holly Smith of H2 Performance Consulting, helped teach me how to set up my resume. Because of the skills she gave me, and because I was able to tailor my resume to a job opportunity, I was hired to manage an entire market (from Mobile, AL to Panama City Beach, FL). It was really amazing. I am glad that I made the decision to study at UWF's College of Business. Without the Executive Mentor Program, I would not have been prepared and probably wouldn't have been able to advance my career so quickly. I tried for years with no success before returning to college. I can't wait to see where it goes once I finish my MIS degree."
UWF enjoys the advantage of being in a strong business community, which provides for a vast network of accomplished, remarkable mentors. Being a UWF student mentee is an opportunity to experience, understand and learn from an executive mentor's professional experience, knowledge and skills. This one-on-one mentor relationship allows each mentee to receive individual attention and guidance related to career aspirations, professional development and networking needs.
The selection process for this competitive program includes an application and interview. Campus and community service, prior academic and leadership experience, willingness to be an active participant, and ability to maintain academic goals are also weighed as important considerations.
