To be eligible for this award, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Criteria: No employment limits. Faculty, staff, OPS and student employees are eligible. Must be nominated by a fellow employee.
Reward: A framed certificate of accomplishment; an Excellence Matters shirt; an Employee of the Month parking sign; and a gift certificate for lunch at the University Commons Nautilus Market (satellite campuses substitute a $5 Follett Bookstore gift certificate).
Recognition: Employees recognized are spotlighted in Argus. Employees are also recognized in a "People in the News" press release distributed to all local media outlets by University Marketing Communications. In addition, awardee names are announced on the UWF marquees located in front of the Welcome Center and at UWF Emerald Coast.
Presentation: The award is presented by President Judy Bense or Executive Vice President Hal White.
Nominations for teams of individuals and/or departments will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. A team constitutes two or more employees working together to achieve a common goal(s). One team from the pool of nominations will be selected by the committee each quarter to receive a cookies and punch reception. The criteria for selection will be based on demonstration of the university’s values and standards through specific actions or contributions.
Criteria: A team consists of two or more employees working together to achieve a common goal(s). No employment limits. Permanent, OPS and student employees are eligible.
Reward: A cookies and punch reception for the entire team. A framed certificate of accomplishment listing all team members is presented to the team chair/sponsor.
Recognition: Employees recognized are listed on the Excellence Matters Web site.
Presentation: The award is presented by the appropriate team sponsor, chair, supervisor or manager and/or the appropriate division vice president.
This award provides for immediate recognition to the recipient based on demonstration of the university’s values and standards through specific actions or contributions and can be presented to the recipient by faculty, staff or student.
Criteria: Demonstration of the university’s values and standards through specific actions or contributions and recognized On-the-Spot.
Reward: On-the-Spot Recognition Sticker
