EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH
Judith Jones, Program Specialist, ,
Judith Jones, Program Specialist, College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office, is recognized for "organizing the
56th West Panhandle Regional Science & Engineering Fair. Organizing the Science Fair is well out of the scope
of Judy's assigned duties. Judy has been organizing the Science Fair for nine years now because of her dedication
to helping our area's youth.
This year, in particular, Judy revised the entire event to occur at a new location
and to be all on a Saturday rather then spread on Monday and Thursday evenings as it had been in the past.
Judy put a lot of work on herself in doing this but she chose to add that work because she knew it was what
would be best to make a successful event. I worked closely with Judy on the Science Fair and, after reviewing
our values and standards, I can honestly say that Judy exhibited all of these in the course of organizing and
implementing this event. To hit on just a few of those, Judy obviously showed caring for these young students
and ambassadorship in representing UWF to the community. Her work was filled with integrity and quality and
she worked with the k-12 school system exemplifying teamwork. She certainly communicated her ideas well and
demonstrated courtesy, flexibility, and helpfulness when working to meet the needs of the school system.
Judy Jones is the most deserving person I can think of to win this award and I sincerely hope she will be recognized."
