UWF Composition Program
Award for First-Year Academic Writing Achievement
The Composition Program offers the First-Year Academic Writing Achievement Award for the best final researched argument paper in Composition I classes. Each student's final researched academic argument paper has the opportunity to be nominated for this award. At the end of the semester, your instructor will nominate one student whose final paper exemplifies exceptional academic writing. The winner of the award will receive a certificate and a cash prize, and the winning paper will be published on the English Department's homepage. One honorable mention will receive a certificate and a cash prize; that paper also will be published on the English Department's homepage. All nominated students will receive certificates of nomination. For more information about the award you can visit the link on the English Department's homepage.
