The Department of English and Foreign Languages in cooperation with the College of Business offers two certificate programs beginning in fall 2008, the Business Language and Culture Certificate programs for German and Spanish.

The purpose of this program is to integrate language instruction and cross-cultural business communication into the curriculum of those students who plan to study abroad. In particular, students will be more efficient in communicating and negotiating in a global business environment.

Ultimately, the business certificates will give UWF students an opportunity to become life-long learners by using the language beyond the school setting, helping them to interact with native speakers and learn about other cultures, while taking courses abroad.
