What is SES?
Families can enroll their children in after school tutoring services if they attend a Title 1 school that has been designated by the state to be in need of improvement for more than one year. Supplemental Educational Services (SES) refers to the free academic help that these children receive in reading, language arts, and math. This extra help can be provided before or after school, on weekends, or in the summer. The organizations that are on the state-approved list have been accepted by the state to provide SES tutoring services.
What is the UWF SES Book Club?
The University of West Florida is one of the state-approved SES providers for Northwest Florida. We call ourselves the UWF SES Book Club because good books are such an important part of our instructional program. We offer tutoring in reading for grades K-12 and math for grades 3-12. Our tutoring services are offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at your child’s school.
