You must meet the FLDOE subject area requirements to teach the subject area in Florida. The certification will be at the secondary level (grades 6-12).
In order to be eligible for admission, you must:

Students complete field and clinical experiences during their course of study. The field experiences take place during the first semester and provide diverse educational opportunities. For the clinical experience, students will assume classroom instructional responsibility in a local school. Prior to student teaching, candidates must submit passing FTCE General Knowledge scores. Students must pass the FTCE Subject Area and Professional Education Exams the semester before graduation.
