The Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction meets the needs of regional full-time employed professionals who work in a wide range of organizations, including public school personnel, community college, college, and university personnel, social and health-related personnel, community civic leaders, and military personnel, as they pursue higher education opportunities to enhance their own knowledge, skills and abilities. The program prepares professionals to assume administrative and leadership positions as they conduct and evaluate applied research studies that emphasize local, regional, and state educational issues and programs. These programs allow individuals to develop the professional skills that they need to advance within their chosen discipline and profession.
Individuals and organizations face complex organizational, informational, technological, and administrative challenges that have created a high demand for professionals capable of supporting and leading initiatives focused on performance and learning. The Ed.D. with a specialization in Administrative Studies enables individuals to investigate how performance and learning can be increased in various organizational environments. Students explore influences of curriculum, instruction, performance, technology and administration on individuals and organizations. The program helps to prepare individuals to meet future challenges with innovative strategies and perspectives.
Classes will be delivered in blended and online environments. Blended classes will consist of weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) meetings with supplemental online experiences.
