This program is for you are a techie and you are interested in implementing, maintaining, and adapting technologies to support organizational networks, telecommunication, and distance learning initiatives.
What will I learn?
The IET program focuses on the implementation, maintenance, and adaptation of technologies to support organizations as they globally connect to support customers, clients, and their workforce. You will learn how to integrate technology into education and training processes; troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade technology systems; install and configure technology systems and their components; support site-based distance learning systems; and train users in the operation of technology systems.

Why choose UWF?Our IET program is designed for delivery at a distance and exploits technology to offer learners the opportunity to pursue their degree when regular attendance is problematic or relocation is necessary. Our faculty will guide you through your learning experience, and e-coaches are available to provide support throughout the program. The capstone experience is an internship or practica that will give you hands-on experience in working with managers and other professionals to integrate technology into organizations and will help you develop people skills to interface with technical and nontechnical team members. |

The Department of Engineering and Computer Technology partners with other departments in the University to offer a B. S. in Interdisciplinary Information Technology (IIT). The program integrates business and management practices into the information technology content.
