Dr. Nye Grant obtained his Ph.D in Construction Management from University of Florida. Prior to completion of his doctoral studies, he was a Project Engineer with Moss and Associates, LLC., in Ocala, FL. His research has focused on Life Cycle Assessments and related work duties while as an intern with the Florida Home Energy Resource Organization (H.E.R.O.), home energy performance assessments with respect to building envelope systems, and integrated design.
Grant has also created templates for Home Energy Rating System (HERS) testing. Additionally, while with the Research Analyst at the Shimberg Center for Affordable Housing at the University of Florida, he conducted research on affordable housing, Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), Section 8 housing vouchers, public housing, HOPE VI, North American housing policy, and the synthesis of green building and affordable housing methods.
