Glenda Mayo has been a full-time faculty member at the University of West Florida for years. From 2004 to 2008 she served as the Associate Director of Construction Planning for the Department of Architectural and Engineering Services. Then in 2006 she joined the College of Professional Studies as the advisor for the Building Construction Program. She has taught coursework in building codes, construction administration, and estimating, and she is researching Building Information Modeling (BIM) as well as teaching the course for UWF. Mayo spearheaded the initiative to remodel building 70 into what is the program's current location. The project received a Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Ms. Mayo has an M.S. in Administration and a B.S. in Industrial Technology and is currently pursuing her Ph.D from the University of Florida and feels it is an honor to be a part of the Center for Advanced Construction Information Modeling.
She currently serves on the Construction Specifications Institute Board and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
